The S-Drilled® piling system is used when ground conditions require drilling or when minimal environmental impact is required. The pile is well suited for installations involving ground obstructions, inclined bedrock, confined spaces, heavy loads, or other conditions that necessitate a drilled pile solution. S-Drilled® is also widely used for foundation reinforcement when an existing structure requires strengthening.

The steel pipe piles must be designed for the applied loads. The pile itself must have sufficient structural capacity to resist crushing and buckling (structural bearing capacity), while the bedrock must also be capable of carrying the load transferred by the drilled pile (geotechnical bearing capacity).

In recent years, the steel pipe pile has become a natural alternative to the steel core pile. This is due to its easier handling and lower steel consumption, making it a favourable choice from an environmental perspective.
